Gifts of Stock or Securities

Donating securities is a wonderful way to support Network of Strength programs and services and a gift of appreciated securities held for more than one year may provide significant tax benefits to you, including:

• A charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of the donated securities as of the date of the gift.

• Eliminating capital gains tax that would ordinarily be due if the appreciated securities had been sold on the open market.

• Claiming a charitable deduction against up to 30%-50% of your adjusted gross income. Any unused deductions can be carried forward over the next five years.

As with any important financial transaction, please consult your legal or financial advisor when considering a gift of stock or securities.

To make a gift of stock or securities, please forward the following information to your financial institution:
