From Start to Finish: Planning Your Event

Network of Strength

1. Create your plan

A successful event begins with a detailed plan.  To create yours, ask yourself:

2. Set a fundraising goal

It’s important to set a fundraising goal so you have in mind what you are trying to accomplish To help you, think about these questions:

Remember that the information you distribute about your event proceeds must be straightforward. You should always say exactly how much you are going to donate. For example, "$10 from each ticket sold will benefit Breast Cancer Network of Strength," or "80% of the silent auction proceeds will benefit Breast Cancer Network of Strength."

3. Set a budget

The key to a successful event is creating a budget early on so you know your expenses and revenue are reasonable.

Breast Cancer Network of Strength is very efficient, with 80% of every dollar going toward our programs and services. What percentage of your funds raise will benefit Breast Cancer Network of Strength?

When your plan is ready, please complete the required event interest form online or fax it to Breast Cancer Network of Strength.

After reviewing your interest form, Breast Cancer Network of Strength will help you think through your event to make sure it is doable. If the event is accepted, Breast Cancer Network of Strength will help you prepare for it.
