Breast Cancer Basics

Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.
This session is designed to provide basic information about breast cancer terminology and treatment from diagnosis through reconstruction. This class lasts approximately three hours and is appropriate for all volunteers who represent Breast Cancer Network of Strength at health and charity fairs. The information provided is also useful to those who have a personal interest in learning more. Registration in advance is required. Support Group Meetings

Amongst Friends, a new Breast Cancer Network of Strength Support Group, will hold its initial meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2008, 6:30-8:00pm at Southern Maryland Hospital Center, 7503 Suratts Road, Clinton, MD 20735. This group welcomes all breast cancer survivors. To RSVP or for more information, contact our office at 703-437-9595.

Friends Like Me is a Breast Cancer Network of Strength Support Group for long term breast cancer survivors, 2 years to 50 years post treatment. This group meets the first Monday of every month from 7:00-8:30 pm. Their next two meetings are scheduled for November 3rd and December 1st and will be held at the Reston Public Library, 11925 Bowman Towne Drive, Reston, VA.
