Calling all Golfers!
Join us on Monday, August 23 for a day of golf, fellowship, food, contests and prizes. The 5th annual Pink Links Open begins with a 1 pm Shotgun Start at Hidden Creek County Club in Reston, VA.. Tee off to Empower (TOTE)
Thank you to the Pinecrest Women’s Golf Association for sponsoring the most successful TOTE event to
date. On June 21, over 120 golfers participated in the activities of the day and raised over $10,000 for Breast Cancer Network of Strength Mid-Atlantic. Read more about their success!.

DC Walk to Empower
More than 2500 Metro DC residents were a part of an inspiring Mother’s Day tradition on the National 
Mall at Breast Cancer Network of Strength’s Walk to Empower.
“Sunday was spectacular. It was terrific for all of us at Safeway to spend the day with family and friends to really make a difference,” said Ed Mensh, 2010 Walk to Empower Corporate Chair.
Area citizens are encouraged to continue to make donations to help reach this year’s goal of $300,000 to help ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone. Contributions are welcome at www.networkofstrength.org/walk.
Support Group Meetings News
Three Breast Cancer Network of Strength support groups meet on a monthly basis in the Mid-Atlantic area. Two groups, Friends Like Me and With Friends meet in Reston, VA and the third, Amongst Friends , meets in Clinton, MD. More groups forming later this year.
