Breast Cancer Network of Strength offers many opportunities for anyone who would like to help us ensure no one faces breast cancer alone.
YourShoes Peer Counselor
Must be a breast cancer survivor one year out of treatment.
Breast Cancer Network of Strength is seeking breast cancer survivors to fill volunteer positions as On-Call Peer Counselors through YourShoes™, a 24/7 breast cancer support center staffed by trained breast cancer survivors who know first-hand what it is like to walk in the shoes of someone who is facing the disease. The volunteer position will be responsible for answering YourShoes calls during designated shifts either at home or through an affiliate office. >>Learn more about this opportunity.
YourShoes Match Peer Counselor
Must be a breast cancer survivor one year out of treatment.

YourShoes Partner Match Peer Counselor
Must be the spouse or partner of an individual diagnosed and treated for breast cancer.
Breast Cancer Network of Strength is seeking partners or spouses of breast cancer survivors to fill volunteer positions as Partner Match Peer Counselors through YourShoes™, a 24/7 breast cancer support center staffed by trained breast cancer survivors and their partners/spouses who know first-hand what it is like to walk in the shoes of someone who is facing the disease. Network of Strength's services also extend to those who are supporting a loved one through breast cancer. YourShoes Support Center callers can request to be paired with a spouse/partner peer counselor who has also supported a wife, spouse/partner or other loved one through the disease. Support Group Facilitator
Must be a breast cancer survivor one year out of treatment or a health care professional.
Breast Cancer Network of Strength is seeking breast cancer survivors or health care professionals to fill volunteer positions as peer support group facilitators. Open Door Facilitator
Breast Cancer Network of Strength is seeking breast cancer advocates to fill volunteer positions as Open Door facilitators. Breast Health Educator

Outreach Assistant

Client Services Assistant
This opportunity is geared towards individuals interested in non-profit organizations and social services. The candidate will have exposure to management of a nationally recognized non-profit organization. Special Events
Volunteers are needed to assist with events that take place throughout the year. Some events are geared towards fundraising, while others are more oriented towards outreach. All events are intended to promote Breast Cancer Network of Strength’s services and breast cancer awareness.
Our Walk to Empower is held every Mother’s Day in May. Volunteers participate in long-term planning as event committee members, they participate by working on projects leading up to each event, and they assist with the day-of event needs. Advocacy
Advocacy Network Members receive alerts via e-mail, fax or phone with timely information about contacting local, state and/or federal elected officials when important breast cancer-related legislation is under consideration. >>Learn more about how you can impact breast cancer legislation.
